About Me:
Hello, I'm Ashley King, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Beautiful State Counseling & Consulting, LLC. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my practice. I have been licensed in South Carolina since 2017, holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in the art and science of counseling, walking alongside individuals during their most difficult times, and celebrating their growth and successes along the way.
About My Practice:
At Beautiful State Counseling & Consulting, I specialize in guiding individuals aged 12 and up through life's challenges with compassion and empowerment. My practice focuses on helping clients navigate major life transitions, overcome anxiety and depression, heal trauma, manage daily stressors, and develop essential life skills.
What I Do:
I offer personalized counseling services that emphasize personal growth and resilience. My approach is client-centered, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals in the "in-between" stages of life—those trying to find out who they are, what they like, and how to heal from past experiences.
Why I Do What I Do:
My journey in mental health counseling is driven by a deep appreciation for the transformative power of therapy. I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from children to adults, dealing with a variety of mental health concerns. Inspired by my own experiences of navigating life's transitions and the promise of my late fiancé, Carlton, I established Beautiful State Counseling & Consulting as a beacon of hope and support for those seeking to live in a 'beautiful state' of mind.
**I also provide supervision for LPCAs**
Populations I Enjoy:
I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, especially those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and the challenges of "adulting." I also have a specialization in ADHD, helping clients develop their executive functioning skills, such as planning, organizing, and managing time effectively.
